Microsoft would never partner with DeepSeek because of the political problems. Microsoft is going to invest hundreds of millions in a data center in Johor, Malaysia, and is looking to get out China. DeepSeek’s model was not built for 6M, like you said in your other article. it was built on chips costing hundreds of millions of dollars. DeepSeek open sourced their model, which was built on OpenAI illegally. Begs the question, who invests in stolen IP when the theft is so blatant? Plus, the new Gemini model put DeepSeek to shame. This is a race to the bottom, with no bottom, like they used to say about Philly politics. Sure, Microsoft might dump OpenAI, but they're not about to get in bed with DeepSeek. They're not politically tone deaf.
